On June 30^th, SICC (688234.SH) hosted the Second Investor Day in Jinan headquarters.

The investors overcame the impact of the epidemic and participated in the Investor Day. Mr. Wayne Zhong, Director, CFO and Secretary of the Board of SICC, hosted the event, and he welcomed the investors and hoped that more investors would visit and get to know SICC in the future.

The investors then visited the exhibition room and plant to learn about the development of the company, the technical difficulties of SiC, product industries and applications, as well as intelligent production and digital management.

Mr. Wayne Zhong had an open and honest discussion with the investors on questions which they concerned, so that the investors could have a more multi-dimensional and direct understanding of SICC and development trend of the industry.

--What is the current market demand for semi-insulating substrates?

The technical threshold for semi-insulating type substrate is very high and what we should do is to improve the yield and quality, reduce the price and enlarge the size. According to the Yole report, the global market demand for semi-insulating substrate will increase steadily based on its excellent performance. SICC will continue to increase R&D investment, further break through key technical bottlenecks, and meet the demand of domestic and foreign markets.

--How do you think about the price decreasing problem of SiC substrate?

According to the Yole report, the lower price will be a global trend for SiC substrate in the future. But the use of SiC substrate will be more extensive with the cheaper price, which is good for the rapid development of downstream applications. SICC is actively upgrading the technologies to reduce the cost of downstream applications.

--How will be the competition of SiC substrates in China in the next few years?

The SiC material is widely used and is a growing business. Thus, a lot of companies and investors have paid attention to this opportunity. However, the SiC substrate has a very high threshold for investment and technology, which bring high requirements for the new players in the industry.

SICC will keep close contact and communication with investors in the future to share information and achieve a win-win cooperation, and would like to promote the high-quality development of semiconductor industry together.
